So you think U. S. District Court Judge Fred Biery's educated guess that nothing will be done (no nomination made) until the next U.S. President is elected is incorrect?

obama could resign, with the understanding that Biden would nominate him for the Supreme Court seat.
Would the Senate confirm obama for the SCOTUS?
There is no way to know, but at the present time I doubt it.
But then, once Biden agreed to the deal, and became President, there would be no way for obama to force him to follow through with the nomination!

The more I think about it, the more I realize this is THE ultimate Trump card (pun intended)

Obama nominates himself. A vote to put him on the bench is a vote to get him out of office.

How would the tea naggers look if they vote against removing Obama from office???

Boom. Obama slides in... Haha I really hope this happens!

Wrong. You must be Age 35 or older and be a Natural Born Citizen* of the United States (I can't remember if this term is capitalized in the USCON or not...actually I'm thinking it might not be. Also using * to comment that these are the qualifications....specifically NOT wanting to get into a discussion about who is or isn't a natural born citizen).

I don't know what is clouding your thinking, but something is clouding your thinking. Conservatives would love it if Obama maintained a low profile once out of office....not see him in power in another branch of the government for the rest of his life . I don't have a very high opinion of Congress at this point, but they wouldn't care how it looked to not confirm Obama.

Very cunning on Obama's part, the republicans will delay the appointment for a year and in 2017 Hillary appoints him and we have a Nigerian, socialist, Muslim, communist to run the supreme court thus completing the master plan!

This is a change, originally he was going to revoke the constitution and run for a 3rd term.

Don't hold your breath waiting for Obama to become a justice.

From what I know, he wants to retire to California when his term is up.
Golf is mostly on his mind, and Rancho Mirage seems inviting,

Bob.

That being said, there is now a vacancy on the Supreme Court. I'm sure it would not happen, but I really hope Obama nominates himself to the spot. That way VP Biden could fulfill his sons dream of being president for a short time, and Obama will continue to have an impact in government. Also would allow Biden to run in 2016 with ease.

Do you guys think it can or will happen?
He might have to resign and have Biden do the nominating. There's no rule that says he can't become a SCOTUS justice.

Will it actually happen? No way in hell that the GOP controlled Congress would ever approve the nomination of Barack Hussein Obama as a Supreme Court justice. There's no way of getting around that fact.

Interesting Obama-fan pipe dream but totally unrealistic.

you are kidding!
We are talking about The Obama and his ever constant search for A GRAND Legacy.
I hope he can find the good taste to wait until Justice Scalia has a funeral & burial.
