Thankfully President Obama can replace Scalia with a progressive judge and end the 5/4 split for ever. Republicans must be seeing red!

There is no way to know, but at the present time I doubt it.
But then, once Biden agreed to the deal, and became President, there would be no way for obama to force him to follow through with the nomination!
Wrong. You must be Age 35 or older and be a Natural Born Citizen* of the United States (I can't remember if this term is capitalized in the USCON or not...actually I'm thinking it might not be. Also using * to comment that these are the qualifications....specifically NOT wanting to get into a discussion about who is or isn't a natural born citizen).

Obama nominates himself. A vote to put him on the bench is a vote to get him out of office.

I don't know what is clouding your thinking, but something is clouding your thinking. Conservatives would love it if Obama maintained a low profile once out of office....not see him in power in another branch of the government for the rest of his life . I don't have a very high opinion of Congress at this point, but they wouldn't care how it looked to not confirm Obama.
Very cunning on Obama's part, the republicans will delay the appointment for a year and in 2017 Hillary appoints him and we have a Nigerian, socialist, Muslim, communist to run the supreme court thus completing the master plan!
This is a change, originally he was going to revoke the constitution and run for a 3rd term.

Terrible loss today with Anthony Scalias death. We should all be thankful though that he went peacefully, and hope for as good of fortune in the death of ourselves and our loved ones.
That being said, there is now a vacancy on the Supreme Court. I'm sure it would not happen, but I really hope Obama nominates himself to the spot. That way VP Biden could fulfill his sons dream of being president for a short time, and Obama will continue to have an impact in government. Also would allow Biden to run in 2016 with ease.

Will it actually happen? No way in hell that the GOP controlled Congress would ever approve the nomination of Barack Hussein Obama as a Supreme Court justice. There's no way of getting around that fact.
