It's just more typical crying WOLF! that the GOP has engaged in for years now. They ran in 2008 and 2012 on the premise that "Obama is going to take our guns!!" and here we are, seven years later, and everyone still has their guns.

Eventually, even the dimmest bulbs catch on.

The Republicans can't prevail in this fight. The math doesn't add up in their favor. In fact, this couldn't have worked out any better for Obama.

The election year is gonna make the Republicans even more tempted to out wacko each other. Obama will SURELY nominate someone that will make Republicans squirm and seethe in anger, and the nominee will be unimpeachable...so much so that the Republicans will have little choice but to eat it.

And you can bet your ass that it won't be a white male moderate. Obama has to be licking his chops at this opportunity.
I don't think it will be a non-white, but (to me) the court should be a mirror to America, unfortunately, that wont happen with the current congress. So to move on from that.....

The president has a couple of options.

1. Appoint to the court a judge that has already been through conformation while he has been president. There has been over 300. The GOP would look foolish rejecting someone they approved. Someone like Jill Parrish (United States District Court for the District of Utah) who went 100-0 on approval, would force the thier hand.

2. Appoint a standing (republican) congressman. (Judge Rand Paul?) Throw the republicans in congress into a tizzy. The in-party bickering and name calling would top what is happening on the campaign trail. And all of America would see it. Worth the price of admission. (Most democrats would not be happy about the selection, but sometimes you have to loose a battle to win the war)

But that is my opinion of his realistic options.

YES, PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL MAKE THE SUCCESSFUL APPOINTMENT OF A SUPREME COURT JUDGE !!!!!!!

No matter how much and for how long REPUBLICAN do all they can to try and dis-acknowledge the President and how much they try to curb his ability to be President and how crazy they become in resenting a democrat who happens to be a black man as being president, they cannot change the way the office is functioning, It is and will be the Presidents Right to Select a Replacement, and by some means that is exactly what he will do.

The only thing the Republican can do is make themselves look even worst than they currently look and all else they can do is add to the label of their ignorance of being the Party that tried and did every vile thing they could to assault the nation, its people the office of the President and go forward with a bigoted agenda because no one will allow them to continue the messes they made in the previous administration, no one will allow them to treat women as their control puppet, and no one will support them and their continuing indenturing programming.
They are nothing more than a repeat of the Southern Democrats of the 1960's, before they moved over to now take over the Republican Party- to carry on the same madness as before, thinking the Constitution is only for white males. Something is fundamentally wrong with Republican ideology and agenda.

Most thinking, caring, compassionate, and diversity respecting Americans understand Respect for Humanity, which is a great part of why they side and stand as Democrats who respect the democracy and the constitution which they feel and believe is for "everyone".

Over 300 million people, and these Evil Minded Men of Yesterday's Ideology, are at the same games while disrespecting the nation and its people with their bigotry stomping. They should feel quite foolish to even think or want the President to stand aside and ignore one of the most important responsibilities of the presidency, a point and spectrum 'every" president respects to have that option to fill an appointment to the Supreme Court.

Thank Goodness, President Obama has remained unshaped by the vile of the Republican Congress - anyone of lesser character and weak dignity would have caved in under the insidious and continuous assault of the republican systems madness.
We've seen the bizarre and insidious rise of the racist and bigoted tea party, and every kind of republican vile one can imagine, including trying to damage the budget process to denying funding the government and trying to play games with the foreign policy to lead us to go to war in foreign places, while we have wars raging. The 1940's and 1950's style of "white man rule everything" IS GONE, it is not going to ever return in America. Nor will it return to stomp around the world trying to push bigotry over other nations and ethnic people. Get Real- That Madness is OVER.

Why not quit clowning and join in the work of rebuilding and growing America as a place for all Americans to prosper.
Gee Whiz!!!!!!! No matter how much you have fought "CHANGE", President Obama has never waviered from his aim to bring the needed Change to the Nation of America. Too many whites are too angry they don't have the stomping rights they had in the era before the mid 1960's - but for 400+ yrs they had it and all they did was try and seperate, segregate and push bigotry, bias and defamation, not to mention every kind of human abuse and mis-use imaginable in the human spectrum. The world will NEVER tolerate such again. Get over yourself and join humanity for the respect of all humanity.

YES, PRESIDENT OBAMA WILL MAKE THE SUCCESSFUL APPOINTMENT OF A SUPREME COURT JUDGE !!!!!!!

Actually, the date has been set. They are coming for your guns Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016. Anyone who wants to keep their guns is advised to stay home that entire day to protect against the seizure.

Yep, it's lose-lose for them, they're damned if they vote and damned if they don't vote. That's what they get for drawing an intractable line in the sand.

TIME FOR A "Native American Judge" Pick one, !!!!!! Get Ready, this was their America long before anyone else came and long before the Europeans came with their fake treaties and could not face up to honor them.
The ethics of the Native American's has been unwavering over all these centuries, and they will get their representation on the Supreme Court.
I would not be surprised to see Diane Humetewa Nominated, and then let the Republican's make a fool of themselves by not supporting her.

Nothing will happen until a new president is elected. Mitch Mcconnell has already said it's a non starter until Obama is out of office. Finally, some backbone from the Republican Senate.
