Ok. Now that you clarified that - I agree.

With that said, the solution is for skilled American workers to lower their wage/salary expectations in order to be competitive.

[not really a solution but it is what it is]

The solution to what?

When was the last time we had any major shortages of manufactured goods? Or a shortage of anything?

Because anything is fair game when politicians are trying to fleece the public.

The "solution" to the "problem" of manufacturing jobs going to unskilled illegals (or offshore).

[assuming Americans still want to do those jobs]

Witches have made it nearly impossible to compete, too. Don't forget to give them credit.

Quality manufacturing can be done in many parts of the world...MUCH cheaper and better than it can be done in Murrrca.

No matter what the lying politicians say, globalization is here to stay.

As should be the case. We should never fear competition.

Quality is not cheap. Luckily for corporations, Americans don't expect or demand quality. Cheap and easily breakable is perfectly acceptable, and often advantageous for the bottom line.

They also eventually become American. The people who are replaced will not have skills development and will be unqualified.
