Fact is, we live in a big old complicated world. Koch Bros. understand that, even if the little people don't. Government (OUR government) policies help pick winners and losers every day of our lives.
Cutting air pollution and oil usage are desirable goals for a lot of reasons, and government help to make that happen sooner is a good thing. Eff those two old buzzards, their greed and their mangy politics.
Hmmmm....one of Tesla's issues is sales volume.

So our government gave huge taxpayer loan guarantees to one of their FOREIGN COMPETITORS under the guise of "green energy".

You think that subsidy to Fisker was good for the electric car industry and the long term goals?

Yeah...and their huge donations to PBS, the arts and the Smithsonians exhibit on evolution.

But lets be honest, viewing the Koch family means you have to be able to see shades of grey and around here that's asking the impossible.

Half the people in this forum don't think beyond party politics. I really mean that, they are completely incapable of rationale thought.

You will notice that they don't want to end the government money giveaways to the oil & gas, petrochemical, mining or forestry industries though. They only hate government money giveaways when the money doesn't end up in their pockets.

This is true because there are only about 3 fully electric cars out there. everything else is less than 100 miles of electric or mixed use.

On the other side, the Tesla S is only about 14 dollars of power for 270 miles.

the average US car gets 400 miles in a 13 gallon tank($20.28 fill up). so you actual break even. in cost of gas/energy, now if only they could bring down the cost of the actual car.
