Lots of black people in West Virginia, huh ???? Also, US News and World has South Dakota at 50 North Dakota at 48, Montana at 38, and Wyoming at 37.

there are multiple ranking services though. But I dont see any that put the majority of the chunk of states you named in the top 25.

States with the worst test schools are conservative. Usually "at Will" work states, Right to Work States, and Conservative/Republican.
Generally speaking, it's primarily southern states that have the worst school systems: https://wallethub.com/edu/states-wit...-schools/5335/

I wouldn't go as far as saying it's the conservatives ones based simply on their political affiliation. It just happens to be that most southern states are conservative states.

All attacks aside, im glad, regardless of your views, that you dont think the other side is evil(or at the least intentional).

that being said, i completely disagree with the bold. What else would you call "family values" voting ? is that not calling someone evil, or at least immoral ????

No it isnt, And earlier, I quoted the methodology from the 4 year survey itself. Anyone who clicks on the original link knows that, so what exactly do you gain from lying in plain site and continuing to do so ?????

You mind actually putting forth an argument that refutes my claim, or are you just going to continue to post one liners ?

Your list links the top 100 worst schools. Im guessing you thought you were going to refute my argument by claiming some of the schools on this list were in liberal states, but that doesnt work for 2 reasons.

1. The majority of the schools on this list are actually in Red States(52 out of 100, not including DC which is controlled by our Republican congress), negating what ever form of an argument you had

2. Individual worse schools dont speak to the infrastructure of the state they are in as a whole, negating the premise of the argument.

I see the confusion. 11 states participated at the high school level. All 50 states plus the District of Columbia and DoD schools participate in the 4th and 8th grade exams. Here are the 8th Grade proficiency percentages:

Overall:
8th Grade Reading: 34% proficient
8th Grade Math: 33% proficient

White Students:
8th Grade Reading: 46% proficient
8th Grade Math: 45% proficient

Black Students:
8th Grade Reading: 17% proficient
8th Grade Math: 14% proficient

But, yeah... stick to your story that our country's public schools, in which Dems insist students be trapped, aren't large-scale mechanisms of institutional racism and oppression.

That makes no sense. The DC School Board controls the DC public schools, not Congress. DC has long been a Dem town at the local government level.

And 7 of the worst 10 schools are in Blue States or Washington DC.
