When my daughter was younger, at an appointment with her pediatrician I filled out a questionnaire which asked about guns in the home. I left that one blank. The doctor noted that I had apparently missed a question. I smiled and responded that the mistake seemed to be hers in putting such a question on the paper. We never spoke of it again.
My daughter is 9. While most of my weapons are secured, the ones I might need are kept loaded and available. A handgun in my nightstand and a shotgun in the library. Neither is in plain sight but both are quickly accessible. My daughter knows where they are and that she is not to touch them without proper reason. At 9, she, as was I, has been taught proper gun safety rules and has her own rifle which she is responsible for.
*That* is the answer to guns in the home.

It's so amusing that you believe that.
I'll ask again, where does this information go? If you assert that it's only into the doctor's records, I call BS. With electronic medical records, which I am strongly opposed to, there is no control by the patient what happens to the information once it's online.
