Regardless of who is paying tuition, no parent in their right mind wants to see their child go to a school where there is so much contention among racial groups. After a while, it just doesn't seem safe. The protests and obnoxious behavior came from both sides and when this becomes part of campus life, the focus is taken off of education.
Having said that, a lot of colleges hire professors with really radical points of view. I honestly don't know what they think they bring to the table. Some of them served time in prison for crimes they committed while in college, so you'd think they can see some correlation between extremists and impressionable young people.
It never once occurs in the mind of people like you that maybe people choose not to attend the university for the very reason student protesters pointed out ???
The fact that it wasnt just black students protesting or even black students who first sounded the alarm shows the flaw in your argument.
Yessir, some Lefties can always be counted on to demonstrate that they are delusional.

Hmm, yet Jonathan Butler, the Mizzou hunger striker who captured the nation's heart, not only undergrad-ed at Mizzou, he is a grad student as well and judging by his curriculum vitae he practically bleeds black and gold. In total, he has spent 8 years at this horiffically racist school.
He's either incredibly dumb or he's a lying race baiter who is poised to make a career turning the races on one another.

This is the kid who's Dad earned 8.4 million last year who accuses others of privilige. He also faced such extreme racism that he was elected Student Body President. Pretty clever of all those racists to vote for him just to give the appearance of not being racist. Life has been so tough on Butler that he had to lie about the KKK being on campus. He's also the one who claimed (no proof) that someone off-campus shouted the N word at him from a passing vehicle (hmmmm hmmmmmm). He lied and got to stay on as President. People who did nothing wrong actually lost their jobs.

being a special snowflake is sometimes tougher than it looks?
The University of Missouri has named a diversity official to help the four-campus system recover from racial protests at the flagship campus in Columbia.
The school announced Wednesday that Kevin McDonald has been tapped to serve as the first ever chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer. President Michael Middleton said McDonald would work to "foster more inclusive campus environments."

Ugh, I have claimed that Mizzou was a horrible school, nor did Jonathan Butler. In the same characterization, are people who choose to try to clean up their communities or work in failing schools because they want them to be better qualify as hypocrites, by your logic they do.
Pointing out a flaw doesnt mean you would abandon the situation. This is not complicated thought.
