Meanwhile Trump's approval on the economy, which is how people actually vote, is at 50.7%.

In fact, there is not a single poll listed by RCP in the last 3 months that shows a negative approval/disapproval number.

That was before he gave away $12 billion dollars in welfare to the farmers due to the fallout from his own disastrous trade policies.

It will be interesting to see what those numbers look like going forward, as the effects of his tariffs start to hit home.

Yes. It is only "today". "Today", he could win the election easily. But we sure appreciate your heads up about the impending Trump failure.

Trump's base is way too narrow to ever win an election “easilyâ€.

When the economy takes a nose dive, as it will, his ratings will crash. Some will always remain loyal, those who are easily brainwashed. But when the economy goes, so will Trump.

The thing thats kinda disturbing about this very accurate (in my opinion) prediction of yours? We're a capitalistic society, there is a very normal boom and bust cycle. The question is not IF there will be economic issues, its just when, and how much. And Trump cannot prevent one. Even if he had done everything right (he didn't). The judgement of Trump should be based on how bad it is. But in the end it wont matter. mild or horrific either will doom him.

Most people are not single issue voters so I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion that the only thing people consider when voting is the economy? Anyway...give it a few more months and see how the tariffs influence that number.

You sure of that? You might want to check the drop in his approval rating in every state, even the ones that put him in the White House

He just let the folks in Iowa know not to worry that he was going to win cause "he holds all the cards" .
Must mean a russian or two up his sleeve.

The ladies sitting next to him looked mighty uncomfortable with that statement right in front of them.

Collusion in plain sight.
