I'm a conservative and would like to see the minimum wage raised. However, until we get rid of the millions of illegal aliens in our country willing to work for less it's not going to work or help. Outsourcing also needs to be addressed.

" Why are conservatives against the minimum wage but in favor of manufacturer protectionism?"

Why do liberals ask such stupid loaded questions?

Conservatives against minimum wage?

Sorry, but it has not gone higher under Obama, even when the Dems controlled Congress. The last wage increase approval was in 2007, set over a three year period.

Why are you blaming conservatives?

Yeah-I also hope these nationless corporations realize it's not economically viable to keep closing plants and opening new ones, chasing the newest labor force to exploit. As the middle-class in China has grown they are no longer the cheapest source of labor.

That is the reason why I think Obama and the leaders want to pass TPP it gives the corporations other places to run on that side of the globe.

I find it sad that the OP equates flipping burgers, to building nuclear reactors as some kind of equal task..

It doesn't matter if they're "equal" tasks. The point still stands that Conservatives want to game the market for one group and not for another. You can try to throw in as many distinctions/excuses as you want, but it's still the market effecting those wages.
