The fact is Trump seems to be less of an interventionist than Obama or Hillary. Our interventionist foreign policy is what puts American citizens at risk.

I think that's pretty hilarious. A self titled "Economist" magazine sees Trump as a threat? What do they say about the avowed socialist and communist supporter?

You mean our horrendous trade deficit is at risk of being a surplus? Oh, the horror!

That would hurt our economy badly but there will be no change to China's MFN status or NAFTA, etc. under Trump.

And the Economist wants to keep it that way. Everyone is getting richer and richer on these bad trade deals but the American worker. That's why they fear Trump, they want to keep it that way.

I suggest you read the article. Sounds like this is the first time you have heard of this magazine. That's ok.

I suggest you sit back and realize why this particular magazine, along with China and anyone else would think such things. Big business, China, Mexico and politicians are getting richer and richer while the American worker gets poorer and poorer with the free trade laws the way they are. They don't want the gravy train to stop. You support that?

Highly recommend it, and I believe Hillary (which I don't often do) when she says world leaders are calling her and wanting to endorse her in the face of Trump running against her.

She allegedly said 'no thanks, I got this'.
There is little correlation between competence and disinterested impartiality. Writers and editors at publications like The Economist and The New York Times are among the best, but that doesn't mean they will give yours or my interests fair consideration. A Trump presidency might well be bad for them but not for you or me.
