Totally disagree. What about all the "good guys with guns" who would be there to protect the candidates? Republicans have been preaching for years that the public should trust its security to them. What's the problem?

The problem is, they know their constituency far too well to want to see them show up armed, and they know that what they have been saying under orders from the NRA is total BS.

Well goodness; that means there's hope for them yet. They're not as stupid as they appear.

So are you actually admitting NRA bloviation of Gun's make people safe is a bunch of BS?

IF true..Then GOP is afraid of those sanctioned by them as actually a danger to a conference of the elite/Delegates/Candidates/Party members ... Revelation abound..LOL

All I can say is.."HYP-Opracy" personified when the Party of NRA actually acknowledges the DANGERS??

Great boon for those who want to get some sort of gun regulatory actions..SMH!!
Interesting indeed!

Damn, the secret service says no guns at the RNC because it will be less safe. What does the secret service know about guns? Are they another liberal anti-gun group?

Exactly. Since the GOP is so pro-gun, they should require guns by every single attendee and have ammo booths just to be really safe.

the secret service is not antigun, but rather pro protection of presidential candidates, just like they are about protecting the president. nice try but you fail.

So basically they don't believe in the "good guy" with a gun Republican myth.

It certainly will be one of the safest. You'll have hundreds of armed LEO from various agencies and hundreds of Secret Service agents armed with who knows what.

When the average citizen has that kind of protection then we can have a discussion about getting rid of the Second Amendment.

So basically trained professional folks, not some crazy Republicans with an unhealthy fetish for the 2nd amendment and a raging anti-obama hard-on.
