I bet there are a lot of guys out there that would have NO problem hiring her, working with her, being her friend, etc. Now, women on the other hand probably treat her like crap because they are envious of her.
Maybe she is HIV positive now and hasn't disclosed it or has simply witnessed the total self destruction of Charlie and has regrets as well. Who knows but what I do know is that people all throughout history do things they later regret and a lot of it comes down to character in not making those mistakes which later are regrets.

This is an absolute no. People with her background are an HR liability and it would greatly harm the image of the company that hires her. She also has no discernible skills and for the jobs she would be competing against, there are many candidates who don't have the baggage she has. The problem with pornography is that it is industry with a lot of unsavory characters and there is a very high probability that porn stars have other issues besides just starring in pornography. Male managers who actually care about their jobs are not going to hire a former porn star no matter what due to these issues since it would reflect horribly on them. Notice that porn stars can't even break into Hollywood.

See that's probably a similar reaction those women would have towards a mainstream Hollywood actress who has appeared topless in movies. I remember reading where Pam Grier mentioned how she got "attitude" from some women towards her because of her movies.

Umm, that is called discrimination. Im not joking, it is actually illegal not to hire an individual because of the previous job. You are supposed to hire them based on their skill set.
I think people are being kinda selective when it comes to accepting one type of sexuality in movies over another. Yes porn as most people know it goes further than what you'd see in Hollywood movies but both deal with naked women and sex basically. That's the appeal of both. But each has a different stigma attached to them. I think if you can accept Sharon Stone's appearance in Basic Instincts and the naked women who appear in those hit shows on HBO and Showtime then you should have some degree of acceptance for women who do porn.
