It's my understanding that this will not affect people with children. What about senior citizens?

If King Hillary is forced into power, I gather the Soylent Green solution will be strongly favored. We have to make room for all of King Obama's illegals, refuges, terrorists and other invaders of choice. It's the right thing to do, or some gibberish.

Able- bodied adults are limited to a maximum of 3 out of 36 months unless they are working or training for a job at least 80 hours a month, unless:

Over 50, or

Certified disabled, or

Pregnant, or

Caregiver for a minor or disabled person

Furthermore, states have the discretionary ability to waive work requirements for up to 15% who would otherwise be ineligible or,

When the state applied for waiver of work/ training requirement based upon the state's unemployment rate.

Unemployment rates vary state to state and within state. Mississippi and West Virginia are perennially high unemployment states.

Governors have tremendeous flexibility in terms of how to manage the work/ training requirement.

I don't see this is a victory. But there is rampant abuse of the system and to those people I say, karma is a female dog.

Pregnant women, certified disabled, caregivers of minors or disabled and those over 50 are exempt from the work/ training requirement. Additionally, the state has the discretionary ability to waive the work/ training requirement for up to 15% of recipients.

This predates the current administration/ Congress.

Big AG, Big Food and Big Grocer lobby Congress and state legislators to look out for their best interests as it relates to SNAP.

Those who do not work shall not eat. Nor should their kids. That is the breaks.

The state, not the fed, is responsible for administration and controls to detect/ prevent fraud/ abuse.

I prefer to feed them and not to have hunger riots.

Historically, people don't stop reproducing just because they don't have much money. In many cases, it is the poverty class that is having bigger families. They also get a bit ticked when they run out of food, and this inevitably becomes a problem for everyone, in one way or another.

If our monetary system wasn't corrupted, and our government wasn't useless, the issue of poverty would be a non issue... Because it would be manageable or non existent. But we aren't smart enough for that, yet.

Including :

The certified disabled, including veterans?

The primary caregiver of the disabled?

The elderly?

Perhaps the federal government could get out of the hunger business and leave it to the state to fund.

This would leave those pesky farm and crop insurance bills as stand alones to justify. That too could be delegated to the states.

Wake me up when there is any semblance of support in Congress or at the state level.
