Pointless thread, divisive and ultimately, not possible to address. In dividing American society by race, you make a huge assumption....and the first is, that we all fit neatly into these categories. (We don't)..

More importantly, though, is the folly of ever imagining that ANY group you arbitrarily "pick out", will ever be "equal" to any OTHER group you pick out. In addition, the particular category you've chosen , "income", is ITSELF subject to a bewildering number of factors in its 'bottom line'.

NO TWO GROUPS anywhere on EARTH are "equal" in every way. No two human BEINGS are equal, either. Each human being is the sum total of millions of life experiences, good and bad, wise and stupid--and each 'race' is comprised of millions of separate, individual humans. No two races are 'equal' in ANYTHING...be it study habits, family structure, taste in foods, amount of coffee consumed, brand of cologne chosen, work ethic, participation in stock-car racing, willingness to invest in soybean futures, likelihood of school-campus shootings, or income level. Divide people up ANY WAY YOU WANT---by political party, by ZIP Code, by alphabetical order of surname, by religion, or by shoe size...and you'll NEVER find two groups who are equal...

More right-wing simplistic thinking. As if reality is denominated in dollars.

Wow, Macmeal, i'm not sure how you denoted this long winded response to me posting a bunch of numbers dealing with income inequality. I did not even add a response to the numbers. All I did was post the income gap between the Top 5% of earners in the nation and then i kindly broke it out by race. Dude, what the heck are you talking about? I'm not even sure where to begin with this response.

More right wing simplistic thinking? Posting numbers from the Census.gov is "right wing" thinking now a days? Again refer to above post. Not sure how you guys/gals came to this conclusion based on stats haha.

I'll never accuse you of being long-winded, Bunky....but yes, difference in income COULD equal injustice, no doubt about it.

It could ALSO be due to about 1000 other factors as well--self-discipline or the lack of it--- willingness to work long hours, or not--- willingness to 'delay gratification' to PREPARE for a career....willingness to do 'homework' instead of skateboarding....willingness to 'kiss a*s' to advance in a career, as opposed to regularly telling the 'boss' to "F..Off"....willingnes to invest excess funds in mutual funds, instead of buying 'things'....these, and a THOUSAND OTHER factors can, and do, influence income....and most of them have LITTLE connection with 'injustice'..
