Except that the method he used was by far the safest way to get her to the floor. Incidentally, her knee hits first, then her elbow, then her hand, then her hip and shoulder. Her head never hits. How was this going to cause brain damage or death?

Which _is_ a dangerous move. Even under the best of circumstances you should not try to carry someone more than 3-4 yards because of the danger involved (and when doing so, only backwards, never forwards). This assumes that they have their hands free. If they do not have their hands free, you should never try to carry someone any distance through the air to restrain them. (Well, unless you really want to injure them.)

To explain this one, when you are carrying someone from behind, two bad things can happen (I hope it is very obvious why you would not carry from the front). One, they can kick you in the knee, groin, or thigh with their heel. When they connect on your knee, not only can you be seriously injured, you will go down. Two, they can trip you. A few possibly trips are more complicated and not likely to happen with someone untrained, but a simple back trip, hooking their leg behind your knee, is easily and reflexive. Again, you will go down.
When you go down, either they hit first with your full weight behind them, or you hit first with their weight behind you. On a terrazzo floor like that, if you hit first you will hit your head and you will probably be knocked out. If they hit first, they will probably sprain their wrist and possibly break their hand assuming they have their hands free. If their hands are not free, they are going down face first. Broken teeth for certain, likely broken nose, and from there is goes up into dangerous facial fractures.

Again, best course of action is a leg sweep with the foot (which he attempts and it fails) and then a leg sweep with the knee, which is what he does. The person goes down with just their own weight, from a low amplitude, and hitting lower body first followed by elbow or shoulder. Most dangerous possibility out of that is a broken elbow.

How about not grabbing the kid at all? Just let her shout her head off and work out of her rage. That is a lot safer then most anything else. The only problem is it prevents the cop from being in total control. Cops love to be in total control.

If that was your kid - I'd tell you to get off CD and start raising your kid so someone else didn't have to do it!

Next time you need a cop Greg = make sure you tell them how you feel about them first - 99.9% of them would put your ignorance aside and still help you.

Yes, to some.... Freedom and Liberty is an issue, they cannot handle and must be in bondage to others that know better than them.

Body slammed by a government official, for exercising her 1st amendment.
Dead cop walking. Revenge is bitter sweet.

I have two sons, and if they ever acted like that with authority, I would've thanked the officer and then smacked the sh*t out of them myself for being so stupid.
As soon as his hands were placed upon her, he assaulted her.
Words and more words, but once violence, intimidation and punishment are used, the 2nd amendment comes into play, no matter who you may be.

If this was a parent doing this to their child, the parent would be locked up for child abuse.

In no way is this officers actions justified or acceptable.

They can scream and yell all they wish without threats of harm..... The only one that got violent and harmed anyone, was a government official(the real bully)

There is a very good reason, duels at 10 paces were legal and not considered murder, or manslaughter.
People watched what they said, and threats were not taken lightly.
