Fortunately Remington is one of the larger gun companies in the US, and hopefully has enough cash reserves to fight this until they win. At which point they should be able to collect legal fees from the scumbags initiating this baseless lawsuit.
If there is anyone to be sued, it is the lawmakers that passed laws that allowed this mentally disturbed animal to be allowed anywhere but in an institution. Had he been securely locked away nobody would have been murdered by him.
The industry promotes them as combat and assault weapons, one of the most popular on the market due to their strategy. I don't believe they promote it as home defense gun or target practice, I'm not sure why anyone would need an AR15 for home defense in the first place

Both shoot the .223 cartridge. both semi-auto. both have 30+1 capacity.
Like fully functional Tanks, fully functional AR15s are unfit for civilian usage ... But, I suspect the NRA owned political/legal system won't agree...... yet.
