Fact is the vast majority of abortions are done solely as a form of birth control for the convenience to the woman.

Do I think it should be illegal? No, but it shouldn't be used as a form of birth control either.
Do you think an abortion is a fun or pleasant experience? I can tell you from personal experience that it is not. This meme that many women use it "as a form of birth control" is a ridiculous anti-choice talking point with no basis in reality. The majority of women seeking abortion became pregnant due to contraceptive failure. Only eight percent of women who seek the procedure have had multiple abortions, so it's obvious women are not using abortion in lieu of birth control. And oftentimes, that is due to a lack of education regarding pregnancy prevention, and/or lack of access to contraceptives, both of which can be traced back to anti-choice policies.

And more to the point, the why is none of your business anyway. As a man, what you believe women should or should not do with their own bodies is immaterial.

I'm not so good with links on my phone but will find it later if necessary but the last I recall the CDC estimated the percent of a repeat abortion at 44%.

I said most women have no regrets, not all. lots of things in life are regrettable.

Sure they go to other countries, so they can get their "perfect" little bundle of joy. Otherwise how would you explain these statistics?
  • There are 423,773 children in the U.S. foster care system; 114,556 of these children are available for adoption. Their birth parent’s legal rights have been permanently terminated and children are left without a family.
  • More children become available for adoption each year than are adopted. In 2009, 69,947 children had parental rights terminated by the courts, yet only 57,466 were adopted.
  • Children often wait three years or more to be adopted, move three or more times in foster care and often are separated from siblings. The average age of waiting children is 8 years old.
  • Last year, 29,471 children turned 18 and left the foster care system without an adoptive family.

Here's the definition of the procedure:

"Intact D&X, short for “intact dilation and extraction procedure,†is the process in which a fetus in the second trimester or later has its limbs and body brought in one intact piece through the cervix, before the skull is then collapsed and pulled through. It’s far safer for the patient than a typical late-term abortion procedure, and it’s also very rare. Nonetheless, it became known as “partial birth abortion†— which quickly became a successful political messaging strategy for pushing for abortion restrictions"

So unless you are claiming that this procedure is only performed on a viable fetus, I'm not sure what point you are trying to make here.

Are bald eaglets inside their eggs then not worthy of saving because they haven't taken a breath outside of their eggs yet? But we sure as hell protect those eggs.

Which means nothing related to a person's decision to end a life, not even close.

Even if pro-lifers work to restrict birth control. they've utterly failed. Passing the responsibility for unwanted pregnancy from the women and their sexmates to pro-lifers is nonsense.

bald eagle eggs and a woman pregnancy can not be compared.

Common sense would dictate that there is more demand for babies vs. a 16-17 yr old teen who has spent years in the foster system. My brothers and I were all adopted as infants.

That's an inaccurate stereotype of people who are opposed to abortion on demand.

In fact, I personally don't know anyone who is opposed to birth control.

With the easy availability, low cost and effectiveness of modern birth control methods, there really should be very little reason for anyone to need an abortion as a matter of convenience anymore.
