I attend a college that happens to be public funds. Today a taco sale was organized by some student association to raise funds and while passing in the hall where the sale was taking place, I saw a Mexican flag hanging on the wall. I'm not talking about a small flag, the one in question was the size of those usually seen outside of public buildings. I didn't think too much of it at the moment, but later on it came back to my mind and it made me feel a little uncomfortable. A large size foreign flag shouldn't be hung inside a school financed with public dollars, it is just not acceptable. And I'm not even American. I'm all for individual freedom and celebration of different cultures but I think foreign flags should only be hung inside private places. I don't think Mexicans would be too happy if Americans would fly their flag inside a mexican city hall.

Why is this comedy worthy??? I think the OP has some legit concerns....... if none of this is tax payer sponsored then I don't give a rats ass. I got to say that I think foreign nationals should be a bit more discreet in how they fly their flags, but whatever, I'm not all that worked up about it... IDK... it's an odd subject and is sort of hard to really discuses.

I'm a plain old vanilla white guy, but I have some serous Irish lineage and every year Boston does a major St. Patrick's day thing through out the city, so what am I to say about that???
