I have to say that you are exactly right. No one can physically prove that God exists. If there were evidence, then it wouldn't take faith. And faith is what a man/woman has to have to be saved. Believe me, I am not trying to force anything on you or offend you. But I'm curious about your age. I'm 34 myself. The reason I ask is because in many instances, people don't find the Lord until they get a little older and start to worry about dying. That seems natural. I'm just wondering if you think your feelings might be different if you were older, or maybe even on your death bed.

Fear drives people to something larger than themselves. It's human nature to want to think there is something bigger out there. There is. It's called space. Billions upon billions of planets and stars and galaxies. We seem to be one of a kind here on Earth, but we aren't even sure about that.

I don't worry about dying. It will happen when it happens. I'll be 35 in 2 weeks.

I'm 45. I haven't believed in a deity since I was 11.

Do some research on the actualy Founding Fathers instead of pulling out numbers. Nice try though.
There were some 140 "Founding Fathers", ALL of whom were considered members of various Christian sects (unitarians, presbyterians, etc etc) and ALL of them secretly disavowed the teachings of their own religions? And they managed to 'slip past' their fellow citizens in signing these documents? Man, that was ONE SLIPPERY Bunch, I must say......We could use THESE guys nowadays !....

Yeah, not to mention, deism is more based on philosophical reasons to believe in a creator. Christianity is faith based.

I'm 59, and I can't personally swear to the fact that World War II ever occurred. (I FEEL it probably did, but I can't PROVE it)...

Not quibbling with you---just occurred to me...

35 is still young. So is 45. People aren't suppose to die that young according to nature. It doesn't mean we won't, it's just unlikely. But without the Lord in your life, you're wagering your souls that you won't die today.

If God doesn't exist, how was everthing created?

Unlike WW2, you cannot show me any physical evidence of the existence of a deity. However, I can talk to my grandfather, hear his stories of WW2, and touch the scars from the bullet holes in his body. And that's just minor "proof".

I'm not wagering my soul on anything. I chose not to believe in God. I chose not to believe in the tooth fairy too. I chose not to believe that terrorism is the greatest threat to our country as well.

I don't know how everything was created. Christianity in particular has sought to provide answers. Remember what I said? Religion was created to explain the unexplainable.

Then how can you prove the Civil War happened without anyone to talk to or show you scars?
