I'd love to hear a logical reason, devoid of religious ideology, as to why prostitution should be illegal in the first place..

If they legalize it, they will tax and regulate it. And then drive hookers bankrupt. NY politicians are the only people in the world that could go broke running a whorehouse.

I would agree to some extent.

These are legitimate concerns but are not particular to prostitution, they are part of the bigger picture.
