All I see here are nasty threads about Muslims and refugees. Just for once, let's put ourselves in their roles.

A viral video about refugees from 2 years ago now has a sequel, and it's gut-wrenching.

Foiled plot by refugees in Ky. highlights angst over Syrians in U.S. - CBS News

Any questions??? These refugees were "vetted" by the State Department (or whoever is in charge of vetting refugees).

Well, actually a thought about that crossed my mind while I was listening to Sirius radio this morning. There was a segment I was half paying attention to about how one of the Muslim terrorist groups (I think it was ISIS) was attempting to totally wipe out a small Christian sect somewhere.

Is that what you mean by putting ourselves in their roles?

There is nothing but sympathy and a desire to help young children forced to flee their homes in war, certainly in the case of 10-year-old girls who have lost their parents. There is less sympathy for older boys and men 16-30, who comprise the majority of the migrants, leaving their homes because Western countries have nicer stuff and uncovered women to ogle.

Reality is sexist. And no, we men don't need the help of outside men to make kids. We're easily capable of impregnating the whole damn tribe ourselves if need be.
