As are most government jobs. Basically just something to keep the welfare class busy.

I barely ever have a long line. Not sure what all this fuss is about.

Got it. Folks deserve this because they are poor.

What a bunch of nonsense, im getting tired of these "You deserve" threads. This ones particularly galling and foolish.

A couple airports have insane lines, and the fun argument to make is that all airports are like this.

I suppose the victims of 9/11 deserved it too?

Given of 70 security tests of the TSA by red flag auditors were not detected in 67 cases, there's a really good chance that 9/11 would have continued without a hitch, at best case it would have stopped 1 of the 4 hijackings.

So...

Long wait in line and a 95% chance of avoiding detection. Oh well, someone has a job I guess. Although the actual benefit is negligible.

And how many 9/11s would we have if we eliminated screening?

Probably the same number we've had.

Look if you're going to hijack a plane full of people with a 95% confidence you can get through security, you're going to at least give it a shot if you're crazy enough to want to hijack a plane full of people and crash it into a large immobile object.
