I'm a white guy married to a Filipina in a majority Hispanic neighborhood. What does that explain?

I used to work with a person that I think is a lot like Clarence Thomas. This Black gentleman -- a very nice guy -- always hung out with White folks. Always insisted on working with the gifted students...who happened to be almost all White or Asian; rarely a Black student (although we did work on that). Hung out at the local coffee shops and book shops that were predominantly patronized by Whites. Wore red plaid pants fairly often (sort of like Arnold Palmer back in the mid-1960s). Rarely went to visit his relatives because they (gasp) lived in D.C. instead of the burbs. The Whitest Black man I ever did see.

Nice story bro....

The deal is, he is the only one not getting the "your a racist" card held in front of them.

He always seems to be the one who is relentlessly hostile towards his own people.
I have to admit something is off with the guy.

I assume that on a list of things that would signify "hating black people" an African American SCOTUS Justice would not appear in the top 25.

Ask the black gang member who executed the black 9 year old. That might be a good place to set your bar of hate at.

So he wasn't black enough for you.

Is there a better definition of a racist?

Clarence Thomas is on the court because Thurgood Marshall left the court. If another justice had left the court, Clarence Thomas would not have even been considered,

Judge Thomas knows this, and he knows that staunch conservatives put him on the court. And although I'm sure that he is ideologically conservative, I think that he realizes that if he were to break ranks and vote in the manner that most blacks might prefer, he would be considered disloyal by those who gave him the opportunity to be on the court.

Actually, you can argue that Clarence Thomas hasn't escaped the plantation, because he apes the white, conservative overseer and votes like Jesse Helms, Trent Lott, and George Wallace.
