Bill Clinton isn't running for election. In the US, a person can only serve for 8 years. It is Bill Clinton's wife, Hillary Clinton that is running. As you know, it has been awhile since they have been in the White House or maybe you don't. Both of them are having serious health problems, Bill Clinton is suspected of having either Parkinson's or HIV and Hillary had a major trauma which appears to have caused some brain damage which is causing her both mental and physical difficulties.
As I said before, Romney praised Trump in 2012 on tape and turned around and was critical of Trump in 2015. No one really considers that a big deal.
And, what issue did you see this applying to in the election. Trump is winning over Hillary on the top two, both economy and keeping our country safe.
If you have to pick one of these 4, I'd go with Clinton too. So I don't see where Trump is wrong with this statement.

try again. the amendment states two terms OR ten years. that means that if some VP resigned after two years in office, bill clinton could be installed as VP, and then the president could resign and clinton could finish the term. will it ever happen? most likely not.
