This didn't use to be an issue. And now it is. And laws like North Carolina's HB2 have made it an issue.
My father in law uses the ladies room all the time at restaurants because he needs his wife to help him out. I am not sure how the NC people would react.

I've had to do that with my husband, too, and we did it a lot of years. No one ever said a word, some ladies were even friendly and very understanding. I've also seen a guy bring his wheelchair bound wife into the ladies room.
Yeah, kinda weird.....I kinda go WTF when some daddy brings-in his 2 year old daughter when I am taking a leak.
