We haven't had a World War in over three generations. Those men who fought and died in war are now reviled by the young as seen by the several recent desecrations of war cemeteries and memorials. I've read many young people don't even know what the Memorial Day holiday represents.

Americans who pray "God Damn America" make me very sad, but there is nothing I can do about them.

This is one thing I don't notice these people wanting to do...... How do you live in a country that you hate, I seriously don't get this, unless you are being forced to do so.

Hi, I'm Sally. I hate America and I burn flags on weekends. What are your hobbies?

I may have missed it since I just scanned the posts after the first page but the quote GD america is attributed to the infamous Rev Right who is really anti American. He was the guy that Obama praised in his book but when asked about him during his presidency he denied knowing him personally but he was just a guy that lived in his neighborhood.

To people that despise america so much I would say "Why do you live here then?"

People who hate America generally have no clue about the history and people who have made America Great.

It is amazing that the individual person has the right under the law of the land to protest how much they hate America yet it is the very right to do so that is afforded by the laws that they are protesting..
There are many countries in this world where a citizen would be arrested and some where protesting the state and its leaders is a death sentence.

America is great in that the individual has rights even if that right extends to hating America.

Hey; there ya go!

The problem comes with the media showcasing every single flaw they can find to garner profits.

People are inundated with negative info to the point they begin emulating. Media showcasing the positive stuff doesn't make them any money.

Two party bickering has been encouraged to assume 'gutter' proportions to the extent we've become inured to the crass nature of it all.

What makes you think that it's SO EASY to go move, much less become a participating citizen in other countries? Other countries have some standards, unlike the US with all of its illegals. There are too many "hooks" that the gov't imposes on its productive citizens to stay here in this country. I truly believe that if the gov't agreed to give ALL of a person's Social Security/Medicare entitlements in a one-time lump sum back to the rightful owner (taxpayer) for them to leave this country that they would gladly take up the offer. This country has become too difficult, too expensive and too overcrowded with immigrants for a good quality of life, thanks to the manipulative policies of the Federal Reserve, lax immigration policies and disastrous trade policies like NAFTA.
As for the veterans who have fought to protect this land, I have nothing but the highest praise for them. I always remember my deceased uncle who fought in D-Day and am so very proud of him.

I guess you've never met Jeremiah Wright.

Edit: After posting, I noticed that Cape Cod Todd beat me to it re mentioning Jeremiah Wright.
