McCain did not fight in our war for independence. That would make him really old. The Vietnamese never were a threat to our freedom of speech or any other freedoms we enjoy.

why should he, if any apology should be coming forth, it should be from mccain to the american people for being a rino when he should have been a republican.

Shouldn't Donny be apologizing too for that?

Tell me how the bold is not a diss to every POW. You, of all people, whose brother was a Marine, defending Trump on this issue, and on Memorial Day yet, is really sad.
well, I don't know how to respond to this. Yes, it is sad that Trump said what he said. But I don't consider the bold as a direct attack to all POWs. That is just me. If I have to hear Navy Seal one more time, I think I am going to puke. That is because they shouldn't be the ONLY ONES who get the attention. Do you think SEAL 6 team alone can win the war? Does this mean that I don't think Navy Seals are some hardcore warriors? No, This ONLY means I don't think they are the ONLY ones who should be honored.

Like i said, my friend who is a bronze star recipient, he is really struggling financially. I also know couple of homeless combat veterans, all they want from ME personally is a can of beer. Do you know how hard is to be a homeless guy? That means that everybody you know (including the people you fight with) have abandoned you. Why are they abandoned? Because of "bad paper?" Their government sent them to war, (popular or unpopular, justified, or unjustified.) They shouldn't be left to DIE. What skills do these people have? If you gave them a bad paper because some stupid things they have done, you might just as well kill them. No?

McCain is a hero all right, but he is not the only one. Why the captured type or the lone survivor type are considered hero, but those who served several tours aren't?

I am not defending Trump because obviously, he should have chosen better words. I would have said,

"I ALSO like those who are not captured" because quite frankly, I do. I like those who are not captured, who didn't get the book deal, movie deal, etc, etc, etc.

Trump really is an obnoxious boor. I sorta just ignore most of the stuff he's said but those attacks on McCain were just classless. I'm not a super fan of McCain, but he was a real stand up guy in how he dealt with that situation and he endured a lot of abuse from them. Things that shouldn't be made mock of.

In part McCain is why we have Trump. So if you support Trump you should thank McCain. If not you should ask McCain to apologize to you.

As much as I dislike Trump, I dislike McCain even more.

Exactly my thought. H*** will freeze over before Trump apologizes for (anything). His default reaction is to double down on his original words.

huh? Yes, he handled the situation fairly well. But he KNEW this is a personal attack to him, why did he say that "Trump should apologize to all POWs?" LOL

If somebody said to me, "Lily is not a hero, she is a hero only because her brother was a Marine." I wouldn't be freaked out. I certainly wouldn't be telling the person "You are attacking the military families. apologize apologize apologize." I, only a girl next door, who has a brother and two uncles served all of sudden represents the military families? LOL

I would be like, "oh, okay, you don't like me. "I guess I would have to move on. no?

McCain went after Trump, When Mc Cain apologizes to Trump and all his supporters then maybe Trump will apologize ..

Everyone talks about what Trump said, but no one talks about the insults hurled at Trump.. it is not a one way street.
