D.C. Memorial day weekend. Trump was in town soliciting support from "Rolling Thunder", a veterans organization originally formed to support POWs and MIAs. A little ways back Trump insulted John McCain for having the gall to be shot down over Vietnam, captured, tortured, and held prisoner for several years. Now that Trump is seeking the support of veterans groups like Rolling Thunder should he show a little class and apologize to McCain?
The fact that Senator McCain has apparently decided to support the Republican nominee, despite such insults, says much about Senator McCain's character. Mr. Trump's character has been exposed for what it is.
I had started out intending to vote for Mr. Trump. See:
However, as time went by, I found that I simply could not vote for such a person. It became evident that Mr. Trump simply had no intention to apologize to Senator McCain and other POWs. Those herein that are loud in their support have only served to strengthen my resolve. One does not wish to be part of a crowd consisting of Mindless Horsemen of Trump University.

Any mature decent person with a modicum of character who is running to be president of the USA would never have made such a stupid comment in the first place.
This was not an honest mistake--it was a boorish, rude and insulting comment. Too late for apologies and dumb excuses--true stripes are out there already.

Exactly. Veterans should turn their backs on him. Trump is a disgrace and should never be President.
Go read and see what McCain's fellow prisoners think of him. They even accused him of collaboration.
