Obvious a troll post designed to engender strive among people with different colors of skin.

The reason why there are more black cornerbacks in the NFL is simple, they are overall the fastest and most agile athletes.

The NFL hasn't submitted to the flaws of affirmative action. The best person qualified gets the position, which is why I still watch the sport.

We all know the point of this thread - the best person should always get the job, regardless of the type of work. Some people apply it selectively while others want it to be universal.

White owners subjecting black players to repeated concussions just to make money...

..should be a liberal cause celebre.

Merit is subjective, and it IS the rule for everything.

You just don't like the outcome.

The best person does get the job almost always.

No, it isn't. Affirmative Action and its quotas clearly violate a meritocracy. There was a lawsuit in Michigan over it:

Merit is absolutely subjective. No doubt about it.

The Michigan case doesn't refute that.

Lol...perish the thought. Don't know about firefighters, but it sure hasn't made police leadership more competent. That's for damn sure.

No, it isn't. It isn't subjective that a college grad has more education and knowledge than a 2nd grader.

Actually, your answer doesn't suppose me much.

I'm guessing that you are more concerned about the percentages of race in these positions instead of the capability of being able to properly command firefighters in life or death situations.

Here are sample questions in the exam:

Free 50 Question Firefighter Practice Examination, Free Firefighter Exam Questions 1-10

Do you feel this isn't important knowledge that the leaders should know?

Sure he wasn't able to pass his medical exams, but he's such a nice guy I figured why not let him operate on those patients.
