I have given some thought to this. Time can change many things, and somethings never change.

I can't change people, I can't change individuals, this has never happened ever and people will always think what they want. Nor will it ever. Nor can governments not will religions and governments.
America is full of different ideas, different cultures, and different economic and social values.

In my America, government can not control the individuals or change individuals with laws.
LAWS can exist but to think that laws will change peoples behaviors for EVERYONE it will never happen. You can't regulate morality and you can't regulate economic fairness, without creating a government that will only destroy it.

If the purpose of laws is the protect freedom of the individual in my AMERICA. Laws would only protect individual rights vs other individuals and against the governments need to have control of people.
It is not going to protect race, gender, religion and or change peoples lives.

Voting has become about parties, and groups, and those in power have used government not to protect individuals but to protect businesses, or groups of people. Writing laws that require the use of business and or restriction of this or that one is about power not freedom.

Free individuals should make up their mind, government is there to encourage that freedom not control it to the highest bidder.

The Constitution is not flawed and with its amendments has made sure all individuals were granted those rights set forth in. Keep in mind these rights are the extension of freedoms not regulations or forcing ONE or another group or economic changes. It's freedom of speech, protection of life, the rights to vote etc. Things government can not restrict the people FROM doing, they are rights of action not rights of providing needs or services.

The income tax does not have to be only the form of tax collection not because its old because it doesnt really provide individuals freedom. We have used it since around 1913, but their are other options that can promote the free economic rights of individuals vs the rules of the IRS tax code. The income tax is not needed. A 3% national sales tax will tax everyone, products that food or clothing will continue to be tax free.
Many of the departments of government over extend their power, with regulations.
I want a government to be restricted. Because people can't be changed, the need for power and control, the want or influence of greed and businesses. With a limited government on things it can't do, less agencies and less money this gives the individual POWER and not government.
Many say if the government does have power business will do what they want.
Business do what they want and legalize it with government.

It is only when individuals need government is a judge and jury needed, a law or laws that protect them and you don't need a 3 trillion dollar budget to do this. In fact if government didnt have ties to business more legal actions could be taken against business for ACTUAL offensives.

Government and or its elected people are not smart enough or have the authority to understand or try and create laws for the world. Bombs here or there will not control or have nation building. When they can't even balance a budget.

In My America the founders had a good idea, flawed individuals but still good. But arent we all flawed.
Individual liberty, Justice and freedom for all, government limited and minding its own business.
Leave the pursuits on mankind to its own and make laws the protect the innocent with injustices have been done.

While the next quote will be a mix of thomas jefferson and Ayn Rand and my own idealody. I will point out these are truths you wish to see or not.

"The two enemies of "we the people" are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first. If you surrender to the needs of Big government you will find yourself a slave to those who control government and the chains you come to depend on"

Yup, some dim bulbs in the legislature where I live in New Jersey. Politicians and Journalists are thought of as geniuses and the authority on everything.

One of the better rants published in a while, not sure about much else like what we average folks are suppose to do about it all. Vote for Trump perhaps? That wouldn't be my answer but hey!

Why? What reason is there to believe Trump would have any interest in laws other than that they benefit HIS interests?

We can hope to inform people of the ideas of liberty in any forms of free speech we can.
I think we have many smart people, and people who just want a better way of life. Those who currenly believe the only options are more government and or more money in government need to see it doesnt work. Not because we say so let them see it in their own lives. I think less socialist ideas and better liberty options should be given, we need to offer better solutions on what liberty is and not let it be defined as what it currently is. Really push the ideas of term limits for congress. Term limits for judges as well. Because those in government ignore the constitution we must limit their time in government. Let the constitution once again limit them, not limit us with choices.

The 4th branch of the government is we the people. The people have to see, to educate themselves of the abuses of power, the media, the journalist with a voice can also be our voice in a time of darkness. Not all media must be a puppet for the government or the advertisers.

Corporations, Banks, and Government have alot of power and control alot of the ideas on what "freedom" is.
In media, print and government talking pieces.

For sometime they have been controlling the narrative.
Its going to take some brave people and strong political figures to change what liberty should be to push back the ideas of expanding government for safety, regulations and economic fairness as they define it.

Is trump the "answer" no but he will stir the pot for a bit. He is only one man who can also do alot of damage to the ideas of liberty if he doesn't follow the constitution if he takes the oath in Jan 2017. But he will have the option to talk to the people about the options. Just as any common man can when talking to other people.

As far as voters... We need to first start electing people who have 2 basic principles is what is required to change things
1. Never wavier on the idea of liberty and the constitutional government.
2. Have the moral fiber to rest greedy and outside influences.

This is the only place in history where Americans can and have the tools and rights to change the course of their country.
If we have those rights use those rights for it the only way liberty will survive.

The man and women in government need not be perfect but if they hold true to the 1 and 2 elected principles liberty will rein.
