I don't think the judge is biased against women--he is biased towards wealthy white defendants who were athletes at Stanford, his alma mater.

You posters have lost all credibility. MarkG made it clear that it's the Probation Officer who comes up with the sentencing that judges follow. They're the ones doing all the digging and writing the report.

It was a female PO who came up with the sentencing but none of you have had one word to say about it. You still want to string up the judge.

And none of you are talking at all about how to keep people safe from sexual assaults, continuing to say the same stupid thing - that the best way to stop rape is to stop rape.

Yeah, and the best way to stop sexism is to stop sexism. The best way to stop your basement from flooding is to stop floods. The best way to stop terrorism is to stop terrorism. Ridiculous.

You haven't posted one thing indicating you genuinely care about women. You've posted plenty to lead me to believe you just have some beef against men.

You're allowed to be biased towards Mexicans. You're not allowed to be biased towards affluent whites.

That's just how things work these days.

Wrong. The JUDGE comes up with the sentence. He can take input from any number of sources including the prosecutors office which wanted 6 years and the probation officer who wanted 6 months. But the buck stops with the judge. Have you seriously done no reading on how widely reviled this judge is at this point, even by other judges and law makers?

Because we don't agree with your rape apologist stance we are anti-men? Take a long, hard look at your opinions on this matter. Seriously.

Actually I've done a lot of reading and read that this judge is respected and not considered soft.

If most judges rely on the presentencing report written by the PO, why is nobody going after her?

Because most posters in this thread have an agenda and it doesn't fit their narrative, that's why.

Disingenuous phonies.

Exactly.

The entire discussion relies on incomplete information. Everybody here is untrained in the judicial system. They don't know how things work. They also don't know the true facts of the case (not just what is selectively published by the media). Finally, they are reacting emotionally and not thinking clearly.

A combination of all of these things (along with their feminist brainwashing) give you the responses that you are seeing in this thread and elsewhere on the internet.
