We don't need mass deportations just remove "all" of the incentives for them to remain here coupled with the 700 mile wall already approved by congress.

Very true. More a mixed salad.

So why don't we do this:

1. Get the border under control. Use the military to help do this. If a big wall is needed, okay, but I want it paid for out of the U.S. military budget.

2. Simultaneously begin working on deporting gang members and any other illegals who are committing violent crimes against Americans.

3. Then take stock of our progress and decide what to do in the future.

P.S. Another thing we could do is put up scarecrows all along the border that look like Donald Trump. That would scare the heck out of anyone with all that orange hair flopping in the wind.

I think we give individual freedom and whatnot a little too much power. Obviously it's what we want to do (ie: "it's what our country was founded on") but the framework here is that America doesn't have or enforce it's own culture or basic way of living on it's citizens. The mish mash we end up with, the culture clashes, and our unwillingness to admit the problems that causes just guarantees we will collapse at some point. Ideology over reality always leads to collapse.

What we need is some commonality and that should be the #1 American value. We should all be inhospitable to anyone or any culture trying to challenge that.

Because the borders have been open for so long, America isn't "pure", so for a US born citizen to think they have lost their natural country to the world, does it have any merit?

Trumps problem is he sounds elitist in forgetting about this history of the country, but instead shutting down all ties to outsiders and make the US a natural born only country which is impossible anyways.

But, I won't lie. It does bother me that I can walk into a store in my country (and I'm talking frequently) and it's impossible to communicate because the workers don't speak my native language. Sometimes I think it should be required to learn the language here before living here, but of course I know that doesn't work. Is that what irks Trump so much? Is the hate he is fueling getting to those people who truly believe this country should be an insider country only?

I say this for the sake of argument. I live in this country and love it, and live with what this country brings to my table.
"Racist vs Reality"

Trump is called a "racist" because that is a "buzz" word that gets attention. Most people using the word "racist" could not even define it.

We have immigration law for a reason. Right now, Obama doesn't want to enforce it. Illegal aliens are costing US taxpayers over $113 billion per year. An illegal now holds 1 in every 8 white collar jobs and I have watched them them manufacturing jobs in my state. The other issue is that of the "anchor" babies. I see them here with 5 or 6 kids while citizens barely afford 1 trying to keep up with their own expenses. Section 8 housing meant for our citizens is filled with illegal families with that those little cash bundle anchors that get them in the door. Illegal aliens use the emergency room for free to them 3 times more often than a citizen and we cover illegal mothers from conception to birth and this is considered a win because a healthy baby will cost the taxpayers less in the end and that is what the article said.

Of course, there is the crime: Examples of Serious Crimes by Illegal Aliens and this is fueled by our hate America POTUS Obama: Obama Admin Withholding Info About 86,000 Criminal Illegals

The majority of these illegals, about 60% come from Mexico with hands out versus sleeves rolled up to build the country. Amnesty will cost the taxpayers, $6.3 trillion that we don't have. We have our own poor, veterans, disabled and elderly to care for and we keep cutting their services to pay for illegals - people that broke the law and most continue to break it once here!

Will YOU be forwarding a check for $6.3 trillion to pay for amnesty or will that be cash? Or, do you prefer to have the employers exploit the illegal workers with low wages and have the taxpayers continue to subsidize them? Also, where will the jobs be located for those workers displaced by illegal aliens and be specific as I want to put it on the bulletin boards across the US.

We have laws for a reason. Why should we allow illegal aliens, who have broken the law to be here, to be forgiven for their crime? We have over 1 million incarcerated non-violent citizens in prison right now and I don't see them being pardoned, many for drug offenses, drugs that came through that open southern border.

Illegal aliens are destroying our country and instead of elevating themselves, they are dragging us down to their level. We have no jobs for them and many of us are sick and tired of the crime, disease and cost that their presence has caused.

It is about LAW ENFORCEMENT. If something isn't done, our country is going under. We cannot continue to be the doormat of the world.

Racism? Seriously, most have no idea what that is, but I invite anyone who thinks they do and show me how enforcing our laws is racism..............

May those that believe in an open border have 5 families with 6 kids each move into the 2 bedroom house in your neighborhood. They are coming and with amnesty it won't take long. They turn every room into a bedroom, wall-to-wall.

Trump is our best chance at saving our country. He is not a racist and this has been debunked time and time again in the "Elections" forum.

If you studied American history, you'd know that our current "open door immigration" was begun in 1965. The prosperity of the 1950s and 1960s was actually the result of strict immigration restrictions during the post WWII industrial boom, that only allowed in people with a similar work ethic to the existing industrious population.

It was the Liberal wave of the 1960s that caused us to abandon all the ideals that made American great, and replaced them with the failed socialist propaganda that rewards sloth and punishes work. All children go through this socialist phase, before they learn that in the real world people will work as little as possible when they are not rewarded for doing so. Ever wonder why there are no hippie communes that survived more than a few years? Why all experimental utopian societies quickly fall apart when a few people end up doing all the work, while everyone shows up to claim the rewards?

Human nature is incompatible with a workable socialist or communist nation. Human nature works well with a true capitalist society--which we definitely no longer have, as Big Government and Big Business conspire to make sure the critical component of small business is too crippled with taxes and regulations to offer decent products or hire workers.

Some argue that:Donald Trump promises 'deportation force' to move 11M - CNNPolitics.com

BTW, Congress also approved funding a bloody, wasteful, asinine war of choice of NO benefit to the US so their approval of a wall is hardly a smashing endorsement.

My ancestors came here in the early 1600's, so I think all y'all descended from Germans or Irish or Italians need to pack it up and go back. You aren't "Pure," like those of us descended from revolutionaries.

Who says you have to "round them all up"?

That's just a leftist meme to try create an image similar to Nazi germany rounding up Jews.

What's needed is a multi faceted approach, that deportation is only part of.

Stop deporting them through a revolving door would be a good start. Followed by mandatory e-verify, severe penalties for over staying visas, being caught once and coming back as well as employers hiring them.

Get rid of sanctuary cities and build the wall.

Not that I think that a wall is any type of cure all for keeping illegals out, but a wall is a strong statement of policy, with an air of permanence.

The wall says we mean business about enforcing the law.

On what else would the OP be basing that accusation on, other than Trump's statements about illegals?
