Why do most American Jews support Obama? Many of his most fanatical supporters are Jews, which is insane. The majority of Jewish members of Congress supported the Iran deal.

Why is being a friend of Israel so important to us?

obama is a moron when it comes to foreign policy, especially in the Middle East. Look at how much worse his policies have made things there. As an American Jew, I think he is a disgrace.

The myth is our government sets the United States policies in the Middle East. It does not. Our policies are set by the international petroleum industry. The goal of our war with Saddam Hussein was to restore private, mostly American and British, ownership of the Iraqi oil reserves. That was accomplished. Our war in Syria is to remove Assad so the Trans Arabian Pipeline (TAP) can be built to transport Iraqi oil to Turkey and the rest of the European markets.

This has been the goal of the Anglo American oil companies for decades. They are only one leader away from that goal. For them the cost in other people's lives and wealth is completely irrelevant. They do not pay the price but certainly will reap the profits.

As far as our interaction with Israel is concerned I very tired of having, through the Israel Lobby in the US threating or bribing our politicians, of the Likkud tail wagging the US dog. IMHO they can cook in their own stew. I could not possibly care less.

Default The Failure: Obama and Netanyahu

In a nutshell:

a) The US is much more important to Israel than Israel is to the US.
b) The US has been a much better ally to Israel than Israel has been to the US.
c) Netanyahu's "You owe me" attitude towards US presidents has worn very thin.
d) He wants nothing more than another US-led middle east war that Israel can sit back and watch on CNN.

Dear Bebe,

We're not gonna nuke Iran for you. Get over it.

Every president since the 70's has been critical on Israel's behavior, we give them weapons and they in turn ignore us. What exactly does good relations with Israel look like, does anyone support the illussion that there will be a peaceful solution.

That's not really the point. The message is the medium and Obama being offended is hardly relevant to Israel's position in the middle east. Take a look at a map and you'll see what I mean. He has exposed them to danger imho.
