It's on all the major news stations right now.

The whole thing was a huge cover up 56 days before the presidential election.
If it's on all major news stations, what is the coverup? What does it have to do with the elections?

Two questions--does it say anything different than the eight previous reports? And how does it differ from the Democrats' Benghazi report they released yesterday?

But regardless of the answers to those questions, absent a big honking smoking gun (which we certainly would have heard about well in advance of the release of this report if there was one) America moved on from Benghazi years ago.

Only the echo chamber is going to get giddy over yet another rehashing of the same thing they rehashed eight times before. But hey, it keeps 'em busy, so there is that advantage.

My guess is that some people think it's a coverup because it doesn't say that it was all Clinton's fault.

Now why anyone thinks that Gowdy would protect Clinton is simply beyond me.

WTF
The President of The United States has to ask permission to enter the country who is attacking a US embassy?

This worthless *** president and every one else in that room should be charged with treason.

  • In the real world - not the one depicted by Tom Clancy - national armed forces ask before crossing borders, because not doing so is kinda-sorta considered invasion and it's very bad form.
  • Libya was very much not "the country who is attacking a US embassy" - the people who carried out the attack were in open, armed revolt against Libya's government.
  • Also it wasn't an embassy.

So if a foreign embassy in the U.S. was under attack, you would be fine with a military response by that country inside the U.S.?

Not an embassy. The host country is responsible for the safekeeping of the embassy grounds, and it's a pretty big deal, diplomatically.

But obviously shh1313 would be hunky-dory with the Mexican armed forces swooping over the border to protect the Mexican ambassador.
