Imagine a time in America when journalism prided itself by delivering unbiased news and the people that were reporting the stories could be trusted.
Is it that the "journalists" are bought off to push a certain agenda or is it that they think the American people have grown so stupid that they need to be told what to think and cannot make up their own minds when presented with the facts.
Imagine hearing a unbiased report that presented both sides of the story. That is Crazy Talk I know.

They are NOT "bought off". The BELIEVE what the say and DON'T say and are willing participants.
This one is over 2hrs long. The planned parenthood videos were not maliciously edited, CNN just said that they were edited enough times that the general public started to believe it.

THis is easy. The Couric video was edited to create a false reality.

By the way I think the people that were being interviewed by Couric knew they were being filmed and she didn't pretend to be someone else by falsifying her credentials.

There is a big biased double standard causing a lot of hate and resentment today.
The full, unedited PP videos are on the web. Anyone can watch them. As for any editing... This was done for TV. Parts were cut out for brevity, but nothing was changed or added.
Couric on the other hand deliberately INSERTED a silent stretch to imply the people in the video had no answer to a question. In fact, they answered immediately (their own tape recordings confirm this).

I wasn't defending her but complaining about her editing compared to a phony mission that riled up the right wing crazies and got almost all the abortion clinics close in southern sates, not even close.
Is she getting a pass? I've seen a fair amount of discussion about it. In fact, I've heard more about this getting edits than the Planned Parenthood getting edited (though the latter was in general talked about more).
