That may very well be. BUT, can you prove it? Has her ancestry been traced? Does she KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, where her ancestors came from, and how they came to the United States? Were her ancestors field hands or house slaves (if they actually WERE slaves!) there were a lot of black freedmen in the U.S. even before the War of Northern Aggression.
