whitehouse hisstorical association....

"However, response to recruitment was dismal and soon they turned to African American—enslaved and free—to provide the bulk of labor that built the White House, the United States Capitol, and other early government buildings."

"The slaves joined a work force that included local white laborers and artisans from Maryland and Virginia, as well as immigrants from Ireland, Scotland, and other European nations. "

If you believe MO, it sure sounds like masters with whips were beating slaves as they alone built the whitehouse....

Mo wakes up everyday in a house that was built by Scotsman. Pick one to fit the narrative and go with it.

Point it out.

Why do some people get so bent out of shape about people discussing slavery? If it's not your heritage, why do you care? Doesnt everyone have their own heritage and culture to focus on? Why does it bother you?

Did anyone today fight in the Civil War? No, but people still remember it and study it.

Stop being offended for nothing.
I don't whine every day about being beaten up in high school by a bunch of blacks for walking down the street. I got over it.

That's good for you. Back to the questions...

Wah, wah... poor Moochelle.

More angry talk from one of the luckiest, most privileged women. Nothing new there.

That may very well be. BUT, can you prove it? Has her ancestry been traced? Does she KNOW, beyond a shadow of a doubt, where her ancestors came from, and how they came to the United States? Were her ancestors field hands or house slaves (if they actually WERE slaves!) there were a lot of black freedmen in the U.S. even before the War of Northern Aggression.
Trust but verify. We are waiting for the verification.
I guess that I know more about her ancestors than she does?

Michelle Obama’s original Irish ancestor has been traced and named as Andrew Shields, an Irish immigrant who fought in the American Revolution as a Georgia resident.

Andrew Shields was Michelle Obama’s great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather and his family was slave owners.

But if a descendant of African slaves, like the First Lady, talks about his or her heritage, people are mad about it

Anyway, at least the Irish know they are Irish. Slavery for AAs destroyed virtually all knowledge of their ethnic origins, names etc.
Tell that to Mrs Obama!
You know very little of what you speak.

That's the problem with some white people. It is a combo guilt and superiority complex. One of their regular excuses is that they were not living then, so don't blame them. Sad bunch of people!

So what if she mentions the African slaves. That is relevant to her experience. So why does it bother you?

LOL @ Obama hating whites when raised by his white mother and grandparents.
