I didn't think Nancy Reagan deserved a full day or two of coverage, either.

The man is my hero. I don't care what anyone says about him.

He converted to Islam ( racist Louis Farrakan type ) and changed his name.

And left the "racist Farrakan(sic) type"

There's that pesky freedom of religion again.

And changed his name?

Oh, the horror!

I remember asking my Dad during the War if we would win. He said "I don't know". I asked him if we could win. He said "we could win in a day if we wanted to"

Even at 8 years old I thought that was very strange. Of course we could have won the war. We could have geared up a million soldiers and obliterated them. Why didn't we?

BS politics.

Sure WWIII would have been a hoot.......

He was a MAN with all the flaws that go along with it. Yes, he was taken in by that RACIST/ANTI-SEMITE CULT group Nation of Islam and they fleeced him of all his money because of it.
Lot's of good people fall for stupid ideas but he did eventually wake up.

Was he a good person? I don't know as I never personally knew him but I do know he was a great boxer and sportsman who, by all accounts was responsible for getting boxers a serious pay raise for all the risks they take.

One has to wonder what he'd have been like or done had he not beaten himself silly causing his brain to suffer Parkinson's.
THAT is the sad part, had he not suffered such severe trauma and not acquired Parkinson's what great things could he have accomplished?

Why is that trolling. It's an excellent point. American often used Blacks, and then denied them equal rights. How could such an environment not affect a Black man like Clay?

Some of our fellow posters love freedom of religion...unless it's not their religion. Ali got that. He didn't just do what was popular.

The government did not want us to win. We were held back. As much as I disliked Nixon, at least he got us out of there,
