X-Men has always been a series, at least for the last few decades, that treats its female characters as equally tough as the men, and that's realistic because they're not just average men and women, they're people with superpowers.

That's Batman getting his back broken by Bane, by the way. It adds interest because it tells viewers something unexpected and exciting will happen.
I'm sure some of the original drafts had Mystique (the blue woman) depicted in a full body shot shown as, what she is, which is essentially a naked woman, being strangled. Then someone thought (wisely) "No...we cannot put soft core fetish porn on a billboard over the highway," so they changed the drafts to what they are now.
The movie is intended mostly for people who've seen prior X-Men movies, cartoons, comics, etc. They'll know who Mystique (the blue woman) is and they'll see her as much closer to Batman than some helpless little girl.
Third-wave feminists are simply lunatics. They desperately search for signs of oppression and misogyny and find the most idiotic examples of it as proof of why Feminism is still needed. A Feminist was recently caught on video ripping down Milo Yiannopolous "Feminism is cancer" event posters and when asked why she just pointed to the poster and says "this is why". An article by another Feminist on the Daily Dot spent several paragraphs explaining why it was the perfect response. No debating, no facts, no logic, just "we're right because we're right."
This is why no matter how many times the wage gap or campus rape epidemic stats are completely debunked with logic and real statistics, they refuse to accept them. Facts and logic do not apply; its a movement driven almost entirely by feelings and lies. They're convinced they're oppressed, so they find proof of their oppression where it doesn't exist. Garbage like complaining about a female superhero being overpowered by the villain that overpowers every character in the movie is what makes people laugh at third wave feminists. Jennifer Lawrence is the biggest star in the movie -- of course they're going to put her on the billboards.
I didnt realize Rose McGowan was affiliated with any feminist group.
Could it be perhaps she is just a "crazy" celebrity?
The issue is it doesn't matter because:
1. Tons of feminists will be on her side regardless.
2. Because of the way feminists act as you can see all it takes is a complaint from one woman and they put their tail between their legs and capitulate.

So true! And as a woman it really gets me how they try to justify feminism over here due to the way women are treated in other parts of the world. Women in the west don't know the first THING about oppression.
