I've seen several people on CD pointing out how bad Mississippi is in terms of low wages, poor education and a host of other problems.

Mississippi, until 2000, had been essentially under the control of the Democratic Party.

How long will it take the Republicans to turn around this nearly 200-year-old Democratic mess?

Republicans oppose raising the min wage, how will they raise Mississippi's min wage?

And on the state level republican "supply side tax cuts" create deficits that lead to cuts in education, how will republicans improve Mississippi's education system when republicans cut education funding?

In the last 24 years republicans have been Governors in Mississippi for 20 of those years.

So Mississippi started its decline just two decades ago? Is that what you're claiming?

The process to get laws changed and allow for that to work through can easily take a couple of decades.

Take a look at your link and see that for nearly 150 years the Democrats ruled Mississippi.

How were they doing in the 60's, 70's it 80's?

Not very well, but that was when Mississippi was still in its post Civil War phases and on the cusp of becoming a Republican state. I suspect that it will take several generations of progressive politics to turn Mississippi into an innovative and creative area of the country. But then I'm just guessing...

And as my last post showed republican Governors have controlled Mississippi for 20 of the last 24 years. And the only thing those republicans did was lower tax rates for Mississippi's wealthiest residents.

As long as it takes Iraq to establish a democratic form of government, maybe a bit longer for MS. You are fighting culture and pols that were long on promise and short on delivery. No trust, no hope, no change for generations.

IMO, MS has a history steeped in extreme racism/segregation and the recent anti gay laws passed proves they're still un-evolved.

this doesn't exactly foster an environment which attracts employers (jobs), investors, etc.

ignorance knows no political party.

And on the national level republicans do the same thing. Donald Trump's tax cuts will add $12 trillion dollars to our national debt in the next 10 years.

Then Trumps tax cuts will add $24.5 trillion dollars to our national debt in the next 20 years.

And Trumps tax cuts will give the bottom 60% of American workers 13% of the tax cuts, and give the richest 20% of Americans 70% of the tax cuts (and the retarded serve the rich republicans literally want the tax cuts and debt.)
