how does this differ from christianity? last i heard, a lot of the gang members here claim to follow jesus are they shoot up each other as well. or to spin it, a lot of the drug dealers are christians or from christain countries

Not all Muslims are devout, but for those that are devout the goal of the religion is to bring all the world under Muslims control in a global caliphate. In that caliphate Christians and Jews would be protected minorities but 2nd class citizens to Muslims. All other people - pagans, gays, atheist, etc - would be killed.

True, Even in the more mainstream Sunni groups consider "pagans, gays, atheist" less than people. That is the real problem.
