Exactly! Thoughts and prayers for short term public relations purposes, but the GOP is still actively fighting to prevent them from getting married, restricting their use of public toilets and using the same demeaning rhetoric comparing them to pedophiles and sexual predators, people marrying animals, etc.

Did most KKK members attend Baptist churches? Yes, but that doesn't mean it was Christian driven.
The biggest modern gun massacre in the US was most likely committed by a gay man and that murder story you posted on the other thread had a gay man killing another gay man, so does that mean gay men are driven to murder gay men?
You mean the same way The federal government wouldn't charge Dylan roof with terrorism. Or how James Holmes was only charged with 24 counts of murder but not terrorism. The label of terrorism is too often only applied to Islamic extremists, and not white supremacists or anti-government anarchist.
Some Republican elected officials have actually voiced support for white, Christian terrorists like the Bundy Bunch.
The congregation I belong to is one of the Churches on the map. Its our tradition that when new members join they talk about their faith journey during a service. Sadly, way too many of my LGBTQ brothers and sisters share stories about how horribly they have been treated and the physical and emotional damage that has resulted from the actions from my fellow Christians.
Its a sad record.
Try putting them in a mosque and the trend will be 100% with sad stories and there will be no Gay friendly moaque to go to.
