If the people were only allowed by our government to have access to assault rifles, we would have them.

An Assault rifle has selective fire. An AR style rifle, does not have an option to be select fire, making it legal for public sale and not classified as an assault rifle....
I own 3 assault rifles. 2 BAR's and a Thompson trench broom. All with selective fire and acquired before the 1934 ban on the sale to the public....
Banning something one knows nothing about, tells me the choice is made on emotions fed to them by someone elses agenda. Not facts or reason.
