Stockholm syndrome

Stockholm syndrome, or capture-bonding, is a psychological phenomenon described in 1973 in which hostages express empathy and sympathy and have positive feelings toward their captors, sometimes to the point of defending and identifying with the captors.

I suspect it's a matter of Islam being presented by Mateen in a negative light that would provoke outrage, but the truth is what it is. This is a deliberate manipulation of public information to shape public opinion to the administration's agenda. There intention is to keep this incident focused on gun control rather than let the truth point it towards Islamic radicalism.

And I say that as someone who is normally in favor of this administration--this is a bad move on their part.
She didn't say anything about religious aspects. She said she was not going to let his voice be a tool for terrorists.(most which is already known). She said, that The printed transcripts would be complete.

She said what she was going to do, why, and would provide the full transcripts. The c-world went aflame.
The so-called liberal media requested the release of the 9-11 calls on the day after the shooting.
The city denied the request. No outrage then. Not even a comment on the articles about the request being denied.

Face it - for some here (and elsewhere), it is about the outrage, and not the event or the people who lost the lives.

You're saying that would embarrass our Nobel Peace Prize-winning POTUS 0bama?

You're probably on to something, even if you don't know it!

I mean, 0bama is the fool who chided POTUS W Bush for conducting a bombing campaign, because doing so only creates more enemies.

Yeah, maybe 0bama should be embarrassed.

The audio, of his declaration to ISIL would be turned in to recruiting propaganda for ISIL. Do you doubt that?
Why shouldn't it serve as a call to arms for us to really fight them?

I DO know it. I've condemned his actions for years. It's sad that for so many everything has to be about politics and not principle. Don't assume that because I take a non aggressive position that I support Obama. I do not.

He said many things he did not believe. For some reason people still supported him despite him doing so many things they claim to not support. (not that those who re-elected Bush were any better)

I don't think he has the capability.

Because not one of the internet armchair soldiers actually cares.
They've got great outrage, and talk a big game, but that is where it ends.
Most (if not all) would be brought back in bodybags, if they went.

As far as I'm concerned, it's about censoring information that is supposed to be fully open to the public. What it is is what it is--it's not for the government to decide "you can't handle the truth."
