I see we've reached the social contract portion of this debate. Or as I like to call it...the Immaculate Contract (ala Immaculate Conception). The only contract to ever been entered into without consent or even cognitive ability to do so.
Just remember folks, Indiana Jones found the Ark of the Covenant and even the Holy Grail. My man never found the Social Contract though so I doubt it exists.
If Indy couldn't find it...it ain't real.
If you can't make a haiku out of it... Then it ain't real.
It's "silly" because you have nothing to counter it with.
If renouncing your citizenship had no meaning, there would no formal process for doing so.
You're effectively telling me renouncing citizenship means nothing. And that can't be because it's a thing. People do it. Why do it if it changes nothing?
You're arguing against logic.
If renouncing your citizenship doesn't free you from citizenship, what does it do?
No, I'm saying your fixation on it is meaningless. But almost everything you post is subliterate so ... meaningless.
No government can victimize or be tyrannical to a population that is free to leave at any time.
So stop your whining and lugubrious cries of tyranny and victimhood.
You're not forced to do anything. You can still vote and, if the result doesn't make you happy, you can leave. Nobody's stopping you. Nobody has chains on your feet. Nothing is forced on anyone-- including taxes--- in a country where one is free to leave.
And I am not just saying that to anti-big government conservatives, I say that to myself as a liberal.
If it ever gets too much to my dislike here, I'm free to leave. I don't have to pick up arms and try to forcibly overthrow a democratically elected government.
Grow up. Stop trying to be Paul Revere. You're not Nathan Hale. You eat Doritos and watch TV. You're not going to "Save 'Merica!" from its own government. You're ridiculous.
I agree... Too many fragile people complaining about petty issues.

Nah, you complainers just love to complain. Obama is a Muslim! Obama is a communist! Obama is bought and paid for by Wall Street! Christ you folks seem unable to deal with the real world.

This is pretty hilarious, actually. So, just "move" if you don't like the way politicians are running the country, uprooting your life, family and job, turning your back on your country, and forfeiting your property to the US government on your way out. But heaven forbid a conservative suggest that someone move to another area to get a better job - don't you know that costs money, and nobody should be that cruel to suggest THAT barbaric solution?
This whole thread is quite amusing, in a completely hypocritical way.

Agreed. The shankmonster is sounding more and more like the British from the 1770's.

Bolded for truth. How about you and the rest of the dems hold Obama and Hillary accountable for all their despicable lies. Unlike government, THAT is how a lot of the real world operates.

No, I said just don't call it "force" or "tyranny". It's not "force" or "tyranny" if you can vote for your elected officials, run for government office yourself and, if need be, renounce your citizenship.
A government of "force" and "tyranny" doesn't provide you peaceful options.
