War lords and politicians have used religion as a tool to control people since just about forever. It's not limited to Islamic extremists.
LOL .. Its unconfirmed yet it makes it clear its "their" version.. OK. Plenty of confirmed attrocities committed by "isis" anyway.. They are totally sick.. Confirmed. Im not really seeing this kind of brutality in the name of other religions.

I don't get posts where the people believe anything/ everything they read on the internet just because it appears to validate their perceptions.

None of us know if this happened or if it happened, it went down as portrayed. That's the way of hearsay.

She said: "A mother told her four-year daughter to go home and she refused. And then the mother told her unintentionally 'go home and I swear to God that I will behead you if you don't.'"

In an area like this, where reportedly the streets are littered with heads, why was a 4 year old out and about?

Why did the mother not take the child home herself instead of threatening her with beheading?

What mother would admit to threatening her child with beheading, assuming she did?

It's hearsay. There is also a translation issue.

Thats because this is unique to Islamic extremists. These people are the scourge of the earth.

Questioning the validity of hearsay is not a defense.

Believing anything you read that confirms your perceptions demonstrates a lack of critical thinking skills.

Again, warlords and politicians have used religion as a tool to control the masses since forever.

"Suppose one reads a story of filthy atrocities in the paper. Then suppose that something turns up suggesting that the story might not be quite true, or not quite so bad as it was made out. Is one's first feeling, 'Thank God, even they aren't quite so bad as that,' or is it a feeling of disappointment, and even a determination to cling to the first story for the sheer pleasure of thinking your enemies are as bad as possible? If it is the second then it is, I am afraid, the first step in a process which, if followed to the end, will make us into devils. You see, one is beginning to wish that black was a little blacker. If we give that wish its head, later on we shall wish to see grey as black, and then to see white itself as black. Finally we shall insist on seeing everything -- God and our friends and ourselves included -- as bad, and not be able to stop doing it: we shall be fixed for ever in a universe of pure hatred." — C.S. Lewis

nope.

apologists are always so quick to defend the enemy. whether they deflect with the # of murders in the US, or show how other religions have been just as violent 1,000 years ago, or say it's only a fraction blah blah, etc.

and that to me is reprehensible.
