The more diverse and multicultural the US becomes, the more likely the union will break up IMO. Could "Brexit" spur a movement in the US?

To leave the European Union?

As a mental exercise I invite you to ask yourself why The United States can't leave The European Union.

It would probably do more to effect other European countries than the US. Given how few people are really all that informed on what Brexit is really about, it will probably do little over hear. It could make a wave, but the big splashes will be happening in other European countries who are dissatisfied with the EU.

Actually yellen warns them basically the entire trade agreements will have to be re-written as the us won't keep the eu's in place.

If enough states threatened to divorce themselves from the US, maybe severely diminished federal powers could be negotiated. I think everyone can agree that would be a very good thing.

That would be my hope. But then states and locals need to step up and quit asking for federal help. To me, that's been the genesis of the fed gov creep. I call it the vampire analogy. The original framework was set up to keep the fed in its place. But, when invited in, they have to use overbreadth because equal protection.

Just one dummies opinion anyway.
