i essentially said the same thing yesterday. the overwhelming number of mass shootings are committed by guys like adam lanza, dylan roof and james holmes. what do they all have in common? white males.
As a total mass shootings are committed by most whites but this is to be expected because whites make up about 70% of the population.
Mass shootings are typically defined where there are four or more victims. If you had parity amongst the races for about every 6 incidents involving whites there would be 1 involving someone that is black. Over the last few decades it's actually a little bit higher among the black population.

Remember the media withdrew the surveillance footage of Michael Brown "strong arming" the convenience store clerk while robbing the store of a box of cigars? All because it pissed off the Ferguson residents trying to make a case for his innocence? This is the type of media attention.

The point you are missing is that the rate is much higher in the black population.
Suppose we have a white community with 60K people and a black one with 10K people. Statistically for every murder committed in the white community of 60K there will be a murder committed in the black community of 10K.

Black on black crime was coined because blacks murder more people per capita and the vast majority of who they murder are blacks.
