Congressman Fattah was convicted of multiple counts of bribery, racketeering, and corruption charges on ALL counts and it took 4 long weeks of trial. The democratic congressman's guilty verdicts were not commented by Nancy, the minority house leader.

Fattah convicted of federal corruption charges

Unfortunate let down right before the convention. Ethics lesson here...

That's a shame, but it is sort of refreshing to see a case of a politician actually being punished for these sort of wrongdoings. It doesn't happen enough but that's at least better than never happening at all.

That means he's ready to run for the Senate or Presidency.

There's got to be least one incident of corruption between both parties every year.

prosecutors painted the congressman as an arrogant lawbreaker who repeatedly turned to the money of others - taxpayers, charities, wealthy fund-raisers - to cover his personal and political debts
Sounds like what most people think of the average politician. He musta pissed someone off or didnt grease the right palms or was just got careless. Hard to believe any pol. could be busted these days. His whole crew is dirty, including wife and son. Root em out

Yawn. Flip the coin to see what political party the next one will be.
Seriously-review my post history, I've posted similar things when it was a Republican. Basically...a lot of politicians are crooks. I hope more are caught.

Funny title as if only Democrats have been convicted.

The democratic leader of the house and the republican leader of the senate both went to jail this year, I could give a rats ass what party.

But on a more positive note NY just decided that convicted politicians forfeit their pensions, the other states should follow suit.

Fattah becomes first House primary loser of 2016 - POLITICO

Democratic voters in Philadelphia already told him to pound sand. Meanwhile Republicans re-elected Rick Scott, who engaged in the biggest case of Medicare fraud in American as CEO of Columbia/HCA, as governor of Florida less than 2 years ago and are even talking about him as a potential vice president.
