Maybe, maybe not......it takes no time to get a warrant if justified.....the only difference is it's on record and there is some oversight.

under surveillance for what? do you know you could wind up on a terror watch list because of something you say on social media?

until they define the criteria for these things, they're a violation of the constitution.

Why would you say that? I called BOTH of my Senators as soon as I read this. I was surprised an actual person answered for Joe Manchin.

Was it a direct dig at Cruz? Yes it was......well Cruz will never read it. It was a dig at those who argued that Cruz wasn't this kind of politician. Did I hit a sore spot with you?

Cruz haters are proving once again just how uneducated they are about how government works.

The VOTE WAS FOR CLOTURE, not a vote on the actual bill. It is a procedural vote to end debate and move to a YES/NO vote.

This is a THREAD FAIL for the Cruz haters. Next time, instead of jumping on the hater bandwagon against Cruz, maybe you should try finding out the REAL story.

His appearance has nothing to do with it. Its a instinctual, gut feeling I have about him. I don't think he is what he portrays himself to be.

And surely you are joking about being OK with the government rooting around your computer without a warrant? I have nothing to worry about on my computer, but it is the principle of the matter.

It's NOT. Without the vote to move forward it can't get voted on.

What's your point? The reason to vote for cloture is to call for a vote. Cruz and the other 57 republicans voted for cloture because they know that there are not enough votes for the bill to pass.

Regardless, voting for cloture IS NOT THE SAME AS VOTING YES ON THE ACTUAL BILL!
