Pretty sure that's the law these people were charged with breaking. They were still in NJ, not in NY yet.

I have a loaded gun on me or within my reach. Missouri has reciprocal with 20 some-odd other states.

Well thats different if you are a carry permit I guess, right? Realized that after my last post. If you don't have concealed carry permit, can you have a loaded gun in the car or do the bullets and weapon have to be in separate compartments of the car? Honestly just a curious question because I live in NJ and am not familiar with the laws of other states in comparison.

Don't need a carry permit to have a gun in your car here, only if it is on your person.
In Kansas, no permits period.
